I’m soo Zen, I amaze myself. It’s especially helpful when dealing with orcs.

    This is enjoyable… lovely words

    2. Shemomedjamo (Georgian)
You know when you’re really full, but your meal is just so delicious, you can’t stop eating it? The Georgians feel your pain. This word means, “I accidentally ate the whole thing.”

    5. Backpfeifengesicht (German)
A face badly in need of a fist.

    27. Kaelling (Danish)
You know that woman who stands on her doorstep (or in line at the supermarket, or at the park, or in a restaurant) cursing at her children? The Danes know her, too.

    7. Pana Po’o (Hawaiian)
“Hmm, now where did I leave those keys?” he said, pana po’oing. It means to scratch your head in order to help you remember something you’ve forgotten.

    12. Glas wen (Welsh)
A smile that is insincere or mocking. Literally, a blue smile.

The fact is that the commitment to happiness in Western culture is relatively modern. Until the 18th century, Western standards encouraged, if anything, a slightly saddened approach to life, with facial expressions to match. As one dour Protestant put it, God would encourage a person who “allowed no joy or pleasure, but a kind of melancholic demeanor and austerity.” This does not mean people were actually unhappy—we simply cannot know that, because cultural standards and personal temperament interact in complicated ways. But there is no question that many people felt obliged to apologize for the moments of happiness they did encounter. Sinful humanity had best display a somewhat sorrowful humility.

    Against depravity 🙂

    Concerning morning calls…

It is in as bad taste to receive your morning calls in an elaborate evening dress, as it would be to attend a ball in your morning wrapper.

Morning Dress—The most suitable dress for breakfast, is a wrapper made to fit the figure loosely, and the material, excepting when the winter weather requires woolen goods, should be of chintz, gingham, brilliante, or muslin. A lady who has children, or one accustomed to perform for herself light household duties, will soon find the advantage of wearing materials that will wash. A large apron of domestic gingham, which can be taken off, if the wearer is called to see unexpected visiters, will protect the front of the dress, and save washing the wrapper too frequently. If a lady’s domestic duties require her attention for several hours in the morning, whilst her list of acquaintances is large, and she has frequent morning calls, it is best to dress for callers before breakfast, and wear over this dress a loose sack and skirt of domestic gingham. This, while protecting the dress perfectly, can be taken off at a moment’s notice if callers are announced. Married ladies often wear a cap in the morning, and lately, young girls have adopted the fashion. It is much better to let the hair be perfectly smooth, requiring no cap, which is often worn to conceal the lazy, slovenly arrangement of the hair. A few moments given to making the hair smooth and presentable without any covering, will not be wasted. Slippers of[28] embroidered cloth are prettiest with a wrapper, and in summer black morocco is the most suitable for the house in the morning.

    …muslin, chintz, black morocco…:-)

I love the Ladies’ Book of Etiquette, such wonderful advice :-))

There is scarcely any situation in which a lady can be placed, more admirably adapted to test her good breeding, than in the sleeping cabin of a steam-boat. If you are so unfortunate as to suffer from sea-sickness, your chances for usefulness are limited, and patient suffering your only resource. In this case, never leave home without a straw-covered bottle of brandy, and another of camphor, in your carpet-bag.

During the last 3 months over 40 cars in the Higashi-Izumo area of Matsue were found vandalized. This led the local police into an intensive investigation involving over 50 police officers.

The incidents started in February. A string of vandalism cases occurred within a residential area of about 300 square meters, in which the rubber portion of windshield wipers was ripped off or otherwise damaged.

At first the police went on high alert. Undercover police cars frequently patrolled the residential area during the day but nothing seemed to stop the vandalism from occourring.

Security cameras set up as a precaution eventually revealed that crows were damaging the wipers, possibly taking the rubber lining to build nests, leading police to back off the investigation.

Dark figures on the hood of a car, pecking at a wiper, were visible via CCTV. With the aid of eyewitness statements, police came to the conclusion that crows were responsible for the vandalism spree but could not do anything to stop them.

it is raging and despairing. i am breathing. it feels itself losing its grip. i forgive myself for letting my mind’s arrogance take me out of flow yet again. it admits it doesn’t have any idea how to get back to flow. i admit i don’t either. we surrender. the illusion shatters. i break down. i cry. darkness. i wait. silence. i wait. stillness. i wait. i listen. i wait. something breaks open. a signal. a stirring. a remembering. i rejoice. oh thank you. i hear it. i feel it. i start the journey back from my head to my heart.

I have juat finished painting my beloved house in the Odal Valley. It is yellow, the color of the sun, with white window frames and golden brown terrace. It is lovely. And I’ve celebrateded with a bottle of Pinot Grigo, cigraretts and Zipioli, (you probably don’t know who that is even, fucking musical ignorant), Bensusan and my favourite, Karine Poøwart. After getting the floor of the scaffolding on my head and falling of it, I’m finally done. And now mathematics, informatics and physics at the uni, for no other reeason than theat it is wonderful, pute and true.
The pedophilic nonsense on this site is a waste of time, the bankers, the jews likewise. There are truths to discover, real truths. About excistence itself. Who cares about the jew an the bankers and the royal family? Let them all perish. The truth will prevail.
And to the dear Charles Dickens who has helped me stay with the job via audiobooks like Great expectations and A Tale of Two Cities: I love Wimmick and the Aged. Great Expectatins is worth reading just for the scenes at the clerk Wimmick’s sweet minicastle with a minimoat and a mini winding bridge and the old Father, the Aged, reading the newspaper aloud while evrybody else rescues him from burning himself and the house down from the candles nearby.

I’m happy and very drunk on piotgrigo.

Blessings to all, and I would have loved you, Ulvfulgl, if you hadn’t been such an idiot.

Someone who puts their thoughts re private personal and serious matters, onto the internet, when drunk, is foolish and reckless, and insulting me to get my attention is counter-productive, it just pisses me off.

‘Real truth’? That’s a problem, isn’t it. You have no understanding of what that concept means, so discussion is pointless and only leads to frustration.
